Fixed-route & regional buses

The main app for everyday riding: buy and activate tickets, track your bus in real time, and plan trips on fixed routes in Niagara Falls, St. Catharines, Thorold and Welland, plus regional buses between municipalities.

Getting started

1

Download the Transit app from the App Store or Google Play.

2

Tap Buy Tickets and choose a fare product.

3

Select the ticket type and how many you want, then continue to checkout.

4

Create an account or sign in, and add a payment card.

5

Choose your saved card to complete the purchase. Your ticket or pass appears at the bottom of the screen.

Activate before you board. A purchased ticket or pass has to be activated before you travel. Tap Activate and pick the ticket or pass you want to use, only activate it when you’re ready to ride.

Microtransit & Specialized

The app for Niagara Transit Plus, our flexible, shared ride service. Book Microtransit in areas without fixed routes, and book Specialized Transit once you’re approved. You can also book online on desktop.

Getting started

1

Download the Niagara Transit Plus app on your phone, or open the booking site on desktop.

2

Create an account or sign in to your existing one.

3

Add your pickup and drop-off locations.

4

Proceed to payment and confirm your ride.

New to NT+? Learn how each service works on the Microtransit and Specialized Transit pages. Specialized Transit requires an application first.

Plan any trip

Handy for planning a route from A to B. Enter your start and destination for transit directions, times, and connections across the network.

Planning a trip

1

2

Enter your destination and tap Directions.

3

  • Tap Options to set a preferred route or mode.

You don’t need an app to ride. Pay cash on board, or call customer service for help planning a trip or booking a flexible ride.
