Niagara connects to the whole GTA by GO.
Hop a Niagara Transit bus to a GO train or bus and travel to Hamilton, Burlington, Toronto and beyond. Here’s how the connection works.
Two systems, one trip
Niagara Transit gets you to the GO station or bus stop. GO takes you across the region. You’ll pay each system separately, but planning the whole trip is easy.
GO Train
The Lakeshore West line runs daily between Niagara Falls, St. Catharines and Union Station in downtown Toronto.
GO Bus
Routes 11 and 12 link Niagara Falls, St. Catharines, Brock, Niagara College and the QEW toward Hamilton and Burlington.
Separate fares
Your Niagara Transit fare doesn’t cover GO, and PRESTO doesn’t work on Niagara Transit. Budget for both.

Reach the QEW park & ride by Microtransit
The Ontario St. and Casablanca Blvd. GO stops sit in west Niagara, where we run on-demand Microtransit instead of fixed routes. Book a ride and we’ll bring you to the GO stop.
Heading to Stanley Ave. @ Hwy. 420 instead? That lot is inside Niagara Falls and is served by regular fixed NT routes, not Microtransit. Plan a normal local trip to reach it.
Check you’re in a Microtransit zone
Microtransit serves Lincoln (Beamsville), Grimsby and West Lincoln in this part of the region, plus Fort Erie, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Pelham, Port Colborne and Wainfleet. If you’re in one of these, you can book.
Buy your fare in the Transit app
Pay your Niagara Transit fare first, choosing Local or Regional for your trip. Your fare and two-hour transfer work across Microtransit, conventional buses and Niagara Transit Plus.
Book the ride in the NT+ app
Open the Niagara Transit Plus (NT+) app, set your pickup and choose the QEW park & ride as your destination, then pick your time and number of riders. Book with enough lead time to catch your GO connection.
Ride, transfer, and go
Track your ride in the Transit app and show your proof of payment to the operator. You’ll be dropped at the park & ride to catch GO Bus 11 or 12.
Give yourself a buffer. Microtransit is shared, on-demand service, so build in extra time before your GO departure. Check the GO schedule first, then book your Microtransit ride to arrive a few minutes ahead.
GO Train: Lakeshore West line
The Lakeshore West line connects Niagara to Toronto’s Union Station, with daily service. From Union you can reach the TTC, VIA Rail, and the rest of the GO network.

Two systems means two fares
Plan for separate payment
Niagara Transit and GO Transit are run by different agencies and charge separate fares. Your $3.50 Niagara Transit fare and transfer don’t cover GO travel.
PRESTO works on GO but not on Niagara Transit. On our buses, pay with the Transit app, exact cash, a 10-ride card or a 31-day pass. See Niagara Transit fares.
